THE BOYS SCHOOL FESTIVAL .
THE first meeting of the Board of Stewards in connection with the approaching Anniversary celebration of the Eoyal Masonic Institution for Boys was held on Friday , 8 th May , the most important piece of business then transacted being the unanimous decision to hold the Festival at the Eoyal Pavilion , Brighton , on the same lines as proved so successful last
year . It was arranged that Ladies should dine with the Brethren , at 5-15 p . m ., which will enable Stewards to leave London as late as 3-50 p . m ., and that the Steward ' s Fee ( to include dinner ticket and first class return railway fare between London and
Brighton ) be two guineas ior Brethren , and one guinea for Ladies , additional dinner tickets being provided at 21 s and 15 s for Brethren and Ladies respectively , with 4 s extra in the one case and 6 s in the other if railway ticket is to be included .
The following Brethren were unanimously elected Officers of the Board of Stewards : —

Freeman , Hudson and Kent ( of Brighton ) , Marsden , Woodiwiss and Wallis ( of Derby ) , Fairchild , F . A . Powell , Jas . Stephens , J . J . Thomas , Sulley , F . A . White and Thomson-Lyon ; that a sum not exceeding 40 guineas be allowed for musical arrangements ; that the selection of a suitable badge be left to the Festival Committee , price not to exceed 7 s 6 d ; that scent be provided for
the Ladies , to be arranged by the Hon . Secretary ; that the toast list and regulations be left to the Hon . Secretary , to consult with the President and Acting Vice-Presidents of the Board ; and that the next meeting be held on Tuesday , 9 th June , at 5 p . m ., to receive report of Festival Committee and for the allotment of seats at the banquet table .
The Annual Fete , and visit of Festival Stewards and their friends , will be held at the Institution , Wood Green , on Tuesday , 23 rd June . The Prizes will be distributed by Her Grace the Duchess of Devonshire . Tickets and particulars will be sent at a later date .
The Annual Sports will be held at Kempton Park , on Saturday , 13 th June , when the attendance of the Stewards and their friends is invited . A circular giving details of special train arrangements , & c , will be sent in due course .
The Hon . Secretary will be greatly obliged if those Stewards who have not yet paid their deposit fee will kindly forward the amount to him at the office of the Institution .
