W . , and alluded to the philanthrophy displayed bhim in serving steward to the festival of the Girl ' s School .

The chairman then gave the healths of Bros . E . Ellwood , S . D ., J . Trenerry , J . D ., and J . F . Skeggs , I . G ., who severally responded to the compliment . The Brethren returned to town at an earlhourafter passing a
dey , lightful evening , each one anxious to promote brotherl y love , and to do honour to the VV . M . The members of this Lodge have presented Bro . Henry C . Shenton , P . M ., with a very beautiful P . M . jewel , as a testimonial of their esteem aud satisfaction at the services he had rendered the Lodge during the previous two years ; it is to be considered a peculiar honour , being the only jewel ever presented by this Lodge .
IHK BURLINGTON AND BANK OP ENGLAND LODGES . —The members of these Lodges , between whom there has subsisted for many years a kindly interchange of fraternal courtesies , ancl a cordial co-operation for the good of Freemasonry , held their Annual Summer Festival for the entertainment of the ladies , at the Castle Hotel , Richmond , on the 21 st July . The noble Assembly Rooms of this Hotel were appropriated to the use of the Brethren and their fair guests , who sat down to an elegant dinner at half past six o ' clock . Bro . Phillips , W . M . of the Burlington Lodge , presided ou this occasion , and gave great satisfaction by the admirable manner in which he
