He subsequently joined the Homfray Lodge , No . 13 62 , the Charles Lyne Lodge , No . 296 4 , and is also an honorary member of the Albert-Edward Lodge , No . 1429 , and Glyn Ebbw Lodge , No . 2336 . His appointment as Deputy Provincial Grand Master was made in 190 ^; in succession to Lt .-Col . Charles R . Lyne ,

P . G . D . Bro . Phillips was exalted in the S . Wales Royal Arch Chapter and became First Principal in 18 99 . He is a Vice-President of the Boys' School and of the Benevolent Institution , and a Life Governor of the Girls' School , and has served several Stewardships .

J IXIOR GRAXD DKACOX . Bra . Walter H . Jessop , ALA ., M . B ., F . R . C . S ., was initiated in the Buckingham and Chandos Lodge , No . 1130 in 1887 , and ten years later was elected Worshipful Master . He is

also a member of the Rahere Lodge , which was founded by brethren connected with St . Bartholomew ' s Hospital . In the Royal Arch Degree Bro . jessop was exalted in the British Chapter , No . 8 , and filled the chair of Z . in 1903 . He is also
