OLD CONCORD LODGE ( NO . 172 ) . —On AVednesday last a grand Ball took place at the Freemasons' Tavern , being the

31 st Anniversary , and from which we understand some hundreds of pounds have been gleaned for the benefits of the charities connected with Freemasonry . The Ball was got up under the care of Bro . Holland , AV . M . as President ; King , P . M . ; Gurton , P . M . ; AAlitson , Lawson , S . W . ; Masfceni'ai ) , and Bro . Dottridge , S . D ., acting as Secretary , all of whom deserve the greatest praise for the indefatigable way in which they carried out the duty they had undertaken , which was uncoiitestabl y born out by '

the fact that there were no less than 357 presentin the Grand Hail . The company was of the most recherche character , and much animation and pleasure was evidently derived under the siiperlntendaiice of Bro . Framptou as M . C ., and the very excellent music conducted by the baton , Bro . Mairiot . The company having partaken of an excellent banquet , presided over hy Bro . Holland , the President , and his stewards , that portion of the entertainment passed off in the happiest manner . AVe cannot omit to mention that a perfect ovation emanating from the loviier portion of the sex was expressed to Bro . Dottralge for
