The accounts were audited , a handsome balance found in the Treasurer ' s hands , and the sum of £ 10 10 s . voted to the funds of the Boys School . Tho E . C . elect , Sir Knt . John Bolderson , Avas then inducted into his office by the Provincial Grand Chancellor ; and appointed as his officers , Sir Knts . John Chadwick , 1 st . Capt . ; John Ashton , 2 nd . Capt . ; Rev . J . N . Porter , Prelate . The E . C . of the St . Josephs

Encampment visited to propose that the furniture of this Encampment bo valued and held conjointly by the two Encampments , a proposition which Avas declined , for the second or third time ; and it is to bo hoped that such , a proposition , to make aAvay Avith property in this manner , has been brought before the Encampment for the last time , though , this time it received the support of a feAV IIOAV members . The Encampment then adjourned to refreshment , after which the usual toasts Avere given , not forgetting Success to THE MASOUIO PBESS .

KESWICK . FBEEMASOHHV AT KESAVICK . — -A IIOAV Freemasons LodAvas opened on Thursday

Feather Avas appointed first AV . M ., who named Bros . Walker and Boultou , his Senior and Junior Wardens . An elegant dinner Avas afterwards served up at the NCAV Hotel , superintended by Bro . BEO . THOMAS BOHN . CL « OkOAV feAV of us realize the scriptural assertion , "In the midst of life If j l AVC are in death , " until some unexpected bereavement brings it more j l forcibly before us . Not three Aveeks since Ave , accidentally , met our G & ' & late Brother Thomas Bolm , in good health and spirits , keenly enjoyingsome ^ remarks he made upon our being laden with heaps of letters Ave

AA-ere about to post . We little imagined , as Ave parted in the street , that AVC should see his face no more . Brother Bolm ' s death resulted from a A-ery simple cause . On Saturday , the 16 th . of December , he was at dinner , and swalloAvcd a fish bone . He managed , hoAvever , to dislodge it from his throat , and it entered the stomach . In doing this it so fearfully lacerated his intestines that for four davs he suffered the

most excruciating torment , and the post mortem examination lwealed that his agonies must have been so great , that in a paroxysm of pain he burst the left ventricle of the heart , and suddenly expired on the folloAving Wednesday . Our deceased brother was not unknoAvn in Craft Freemasonry . He Avas a P . M . of the Royal York Lodge , No . 7 ; the Old Concord , No . 172 ; the Canonbury , No . 637 ; of which latter he AVIIS one of the founders , its first W . M . and Secretary to tlie time of his decease . He was also one of the founders

, up and first M . E . Z . of the Chapter attached to the Lodge . Ho had , some years ago , taken the Mark degree under the Irish Constitution . Let us hope that , though the bread-Avinner of the family has been so suddenly snatched away , his widoAV and children Avill find many , and able , friends to minister to their wants , and , in some measure , partially , alleviate the SOITOAV they must feel , and the loss they have sustained .
